Context Analysis for Transformative Change in the Ceramic Industry

Foundation industries are under increasing pressure to transform for sustainable development. Ceramics play a key role within foundation as necessary material building manufacturing facilities. Therefore, transforming the ceramic industry could support changes across other well, making it one of most important transform. Given limited finances, staff time, and resources transformative change, this study aims identify set intervention points enable change in United Kingdom. A desk-based study, reviewing written industry, government, scientific materials available public domain, was carried out initial change. The PESTLE approach used analyse macro factors political, environmental, social, technological, legal, economic domains order understand how context enables or constrains industry. SWOT analysis conducted further consolidate findings. Our detected over 50 drivers barriers showed that decarbonisation energy-saving strategies were main UK On hand, foreign government policy legislation, trade barriers, skills shortages, costly alternative energy sources among major barriers.
